Quick fall-ish meal after the pumpkin patch 🥘 (food pics)

We went to the pumpkin patch!  (scroll down for food pics!)

Pumpkins, gourds, pigs, we even saw a bald eagle grab something out of the next field over... it looked rabbit sized.  WOW!

We were also quite hungry when we got home... and a gorgeous harvest feast was minutes away!

1.  Burgers on lettuce with kraut and mayo - one of my favorite quick standbys!  Add your fav herb/veg/clean condiment toppings, colorful ferments, and you're rocking a powerhouse meal!

2.  Steamed veggies - we had cauliflower and broccoli in the fridge, so I threw them in the steamer.  In minutes they were ready to plate and top with olive oil and salt.  Natural sea salt or ancient sea (red/pink) salt makes veggie flavors pop, is full of minerals, and helps curb sugar cravings.  Now you're rocking a BIG powerhouse meal!

3.  Bone-broth carrot soup - before we left, I'd thrown a pound or so of chicken-wing leftovers/bones into a pot of water with a lot of apple cider vinegar and left it simmering.  Then I strained the broth, added a lot of coarsely chopped carrots, lots of dry herbs and Herbamare (herbed sea salt), and turned up the heat.  When the carrots were soft, I used a stick blender to purée.  My son garnished with anti-inflammatory olive oil and fresh-picked flavonoid-rich chives from the yard.

(Flavonoids are powerfully healing plant chemicals - anti inflammatory, anti oxidant, found especially in herbs, berries, and colorful plant foods)

You can do this too!  ...with bone broth, veggie bullion, whatever you've got.... and NOW you're rocking a big GOURMET powerhouse meal!

We put each of these "courses" in our 3-layer tiffin container, to share with our neighbor.  My son loved the carrot soup so much he wanted it in his lunch, so in the morning I heated it up and garnished it....

...while he prepared himself a super simple breakfast of leftover pancakes (almond & arrowroot flour, baking powder, olive oil, egg, salt, vanilla, a few drops of stevia glycerite) with a filling of plain fatty coconut milk!  Since he's learned to safely open a can, he was completely independent in making this fun breakfast (yay!).

I love sharing fun, flexible, gut- and kid-loving food with you... is this helpful?

What will help you?  Lets Talk!
